Ol' Dirty Bastard's Return to the 36 Chambers was part of the legendary run of solo records that followed Wu-Tang Clan's 1993 masterpiece Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers. ODB scored hits with the singles “Brooklyn Zoo” and “Shimmy Shimmy Ya”. His frank, often hilarious discourses on sex and street life still have the power to drop jaws to this day.

Backed by RZA's appropriately gritty, dissonant beats and with appearances from other members of the Clan, Return to the 36 Chambers became a huge commercial success, and was nominated for 'Best Rap Album' at the 1996 GRAMMY Awards.
