Bio:

Alvira is a Kingston-based artist working with acrylic paints, mixed media collages and clay. Often being drawn towards bold textures and fluorescent colours, Alvira explores similar styles in her pieces inspired by her travels. She loves playing with different patterns of vibrant colours intermingled with textured neutrals into one mixed media composition.

Statement:

This series is a group of acrylic paintings and sculptural pieces that draw from my recent inspirations and were all completed between December 2022 and January 2023. The works in this series exhibit experimentation with realism in still-life, portraiture and functional sculptures that highlight my growth as an artist since revisiting my creative outlets.
