Bio:

Evan has a BFA in studio art from Concordia University and has exhibited his work for both solo and group exhibitions in Toronto, New Jersey, Kingston, Montreal, and London (Ontario). He lives in Kingston with his amazing wife Jess and his two wonderful children.

Statement:

Through art school I learned that paintings and drawings were more interesting from the curious, compositional scribbles and smudges that came out of the process and the conversation with materials that the artist has through their artmaking process. I have come to understand that it is more important to value the relationship between how marks are applied and with which materials paintings are made.
