Calling all young artists! Join us Tuesday afternoons all summer in the Art Noise classroom for some Art Attack! During these 2-hour sessions young artists will learn and create with our Summer Art Specialist, Sam, all the different ways you can make art. Each week will have a different focus or project! Mediums & skills that may be explored include: acrylic paint, printmaking, watercolours, FIMO clay, drawing and sketching, perspective & composition, abstract art, oil pastels, and more! This program is perfect for kids looking to gain more art-based skills, but is still great for those just looking to create!

Theme Schedule:
July 14 - Art History: Ode to the Greats. Today's theme explores painting through the eyes of Van Gogh as we explore his Starry Night, and Sunflower paintings and more!
July 21 - Wizards, Fairies, Magic, Oh My! Let's explore painting and collage as we make a magical land in the style of great artist, Mary Blair. To complete our wonderland, we'll design and create characters using watercolour and ink.
July 28 - Space Odyssey. It's an alien invasion during this Art Attack! We'll explore space in a mixed-media supernova of activities including painting, collage and sculpture.
August 4 - Under the Sea. Dive deep beneath the sea to explore the creatures who live there through collage, build your own shipwreck, and create your own ocean. in a box to take home.
August 11 - Alice's Garden. Today's Art Attack is all about flowers! Let's explore with acrylics to paint a garden, then explore mixed media to create a sculptural bouquet to bring home.
August 18. -Hansel & Gretel Are in Torn: Sweet Treats. It's time for a treat! Let's explore food art today through different ways of painting to create some sweet pieces of art.
August 25 - Animal Safari. It's getting wild in here! Today's focus is on animals as a topic. We'll use different art mediums to create some new wild art pieces.
This is a drop-off program, which means parents/caregivers are welcome to drop-off their children for the duration of the program and pick them up at the end. If parents/caregivers do choose to stay, you may be asked to wait in the store to help us keep space available for young artists to create with ease!
Please note! Art Noise requires a minimum of 3 participants to run any class or workshop. Classes or workshops that do not hit the minimum participant requirement will be cancelled with a 72 hour notice.
100% refunds will only be given if the cancellation is made up to 7 days (1 week) prior to the class/workshop start date, and no refunds will be given less than 1 week prior to the start of class. However the option to transfer to another class (if space available) or store credit will be offered instead. If a participant missed the class/workshop without prior notice, Art Noise reserves the right to deny a class transfer or store credit to compensate for materials purchased and Instructor wages.
