All about Oil Colours
Our Oil Colours collection features Tri-Art’s Finest Quality Oil Colours, made with true artist grade pigments that are milled to perfection for maximum brilliance and purity of colour. The paints have a rich, thick body that holds a brush or knife mark beautifully, so you can work from delicate veils of colour to sculptural impasto. The binder is a high grade, refined sunflower oil that keeps mixtures clean and helps colours stay bright over time.
Within this collection you will find a full professional palette, from classic earths and cadmiums to modern high chroma colours, transparent glazing hues, iridescents, interference colours, and even phosphorescent options for experimental work. Tubes are available in practical 60 mL and 150 mL sizes, with select colours and supporting products in larger formats for studio use.
You will also see companion oil products such as hemp and tung oils, eco cold wax mediums, odourless solvent, D-Limonene, and dammar varnish, so you can refine the handling, sheen, and surface of your paintings from first block-in to final varnish. All of this is supplied through Art Noise, carrying the full Tri-Art range from Kingston, Ontario. Whether you paint alla prima, build slow glazes, or mix oils with cold wax and texture, these Oil Colours are a reliable, professional core for your palette.
