Classes & Workshops

Our Classes & Workshops include a mix of drawing, acrylic and oil painting, watercolours, mixed media, printmaking, life drawing, stained glass, linocut, art talks, holiday events, open studio time, and more. You’ll see options for one-day workshops, multi-week classes, and drop-in style sessions, so you can choose the schedule and format that fits your creative goals.

Yes. Many of the offerings are labeled Beginner or All Skill Levels, making them ideal if you’re just starting out or returning to art after a break. Check each class description for details on recommended experience.

In almost every case, the materials will be included in the cost of your class, but occasionally supply needs will vary. Each listing in the collection will note whether materials are included or if you should bring your own favourites.

Absolutely. We often include Kids Class, youth, and all-ages options designed for younger artists and families. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we offer an array of drop-in, and one day workshops throughout the year, geared at many different age groups. Registration is done online through the Classes & Workshops collection. Simply open the class you’re interested in, select your preferred date or time if applicable, and add it to your cart like any other product. Because many workshops and events have limited spots, we recommend booking early, checking back often, and becoming a newsletter subscriber to be the first to know when registration opens, a new event is added, or for any seasonal events we are offering

Most classes and workshops are held in the dedicated Art Noise classroom at our downtown Kingston store at 290 Princess St. Full details on date, time, and location are listed on each product page.

Art Noise understands that schedules can change and despite a registrant’s best intentions they may not be able to attend a class or workshop. If a registrant is unable to attend, they can have an alternate person attend in their place. If a substitute cannot be found, Art Noise will accept cancellations and issue refunds under the following conditions:

• The cancellation deadline is no more than 4 business days before a workshop.
• The Education Director must be informed and approve the cancellation. Please contact education@artnoise.ca

Policies:

• If Art Noise cancels a workshop for any reason, all registration fees will be fully refunded.
• Registration fees will be fully refunded if the registrant cancels prior to the cancellation deadline.
• No refunds will be provided if the registrant  is a “no-show” at the workshop. *
• No refunds will be provided to registered participants if they miss one or more in a series of classes.* 
• Art noise does not offer “make-up” classes for missed sessions. 
• If the registrant cancels after the registration deadline but prior to the workshop, the registrant may choose to either:
• Receive a partial refund of 50% of the registration fee, or apply 50% of registration fee as a credit for in-store product. 
• Apply the full amount as a credit for a workshop offered by Art Noise within 6 months from the date of the original workshop. If Art Noise does not host another workshop within this period, the first option will apply.

While our main focus is the scheduled options, we are excited to have recently begun to offer private or custom sessions for families, friend groups, workplace teams, etc. If you’re interested in a tailored workshop, please reach out with your ideas to our Education Director at education@artnoise.ca
