This unique synthetic wax was formulated for cleaning your brushes, tools, and even palette between encaustic color changes. Slick wax eliminates the need for any type of solvent in your studio. Simply have a tin of melted slick wax available on your hot palette and you will be able to avoid color contamination. When you want to move from one color to another, rinse your brush in the Slick Wax and wipe off any excess wax with a paper towel.
The Slick Wax will have removed the color and you can get right back to painting. For those who like to color mix on their palette, you can even use the Slick Wax directly on the palette and with a wipe of a paper towel, you will have a nice clean surface to work on. Enkaustikos Slick Wax comes in a re-sealable silver bag but is also available in a 6 fl oz metal Hot Cakes tin.

Orders are shipped via Canada Post, at the rate selected at checkout. Rates are calculated based on weight and package size.

We offer free shipping on orders over $150*.

International shipping is available at checkout. International orders are shipped via UPS. Any customs fees are the responsibility of the purchaser. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout, we do not offer free shipping on international orders. Unfortunately we are unable to ship to the EU at this time.

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be unused, unopened and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Art Noise does not offer refunds or exchange for original fine art purchased in our gallery.  If the artwork is damaged in shipping, we will work with you on a per-case basis to resolve the issue.
