5 original charcoal artworks highlighting 5 endangered species have been created. The original works were sold at an online auction. The profits were donated to the Zoo Foundation, whose mission is to support conservation, research and education projects.

Since the 1950s, the world population of African elephants has declined by nearly two million individuals. Poaching for ivory and habitat fragmentation are the greatest threats
