Loose Lines: Drawing with Freedom Workshop with Sumera Khan

Let go of perfection and rediscover the joy of sketching. In this relaxed workshop, we’ll explore fun exercises that help you loosen your hand and quiet your inner critic. You’ll experiment with gesture, movement, and expressive mark-making, learning to capture the feeling of a subject rather than every detail. Let's play.

 

This workshop is part of Sumera Khan's Sketchbook Stories series, which aims to help artists discover new ways to create in their sketchbooks and beyond!

 

All materials will be provided; participants are asked to bring their own sketchbook that can handle mixed media (anything around 90lb or above is great!). Traditional watercolour brushes will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own water brushes if desired.

Please note! Art Noise requires a minimum of 4 participants to run any class or workshop. Classes or workshops that do not hit the minimum participant requirement will be cancelled with a 72 hour notice. 

100% refunds will only be given if the cancellation is made up to 7 days (1 week) prior to the class/workshop start date, and no refunds will be given less than 1 week prior to the start of class. However the option to transfer to another class (if space available) or store credit will be offered instead. If a participant missed the class/workshop without prior notice, Art Noise reserves the right to deny a class transfer or store credit to compensate for materials purchased and Instructor wages.
